A Bit about me

My name is Sydónne Blake, and I am a Black and Indigenous (Yamaye Taíno, Hummingbird Clan) artist and visual storyteller.

I take on multiple roles in this life, but photography is a deep love of mine. My favorite photography style is portraits as I love to share space with others and reflect their stories through my work. I am an artist, but I’m also first a human who wants to connect with other people.

Through photography, I want to create spaces for representation of my people and others with marginalized identities, as well as spaces for empathy and creativity. I also want to share parts of myself with others as I navigate my own life, in the hopes of resonating with people beyond the screen. If you want to work together, I would love to hear from you.
